The Communications Specialist III develops and implements comprehensive communications strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communications strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives

  • Produce high-quality written content for various communications channels, including press releases, reports, presentations, and internal communications

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication

  • Manage and respond to Requests for Information (RFI) from various stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate information delivery

  • Assist in managing communication during crisis situations, providing timely and accurate information to mitigate impact

  • Ensure all communications are consistent with the organization’s mission, values, and messaging guidelines

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communications strategies and initiatives, using data to inform improvements

  • Takes direction from more senior personnel

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field

  • 9 years of work experience

  • 5 years of position-relevant experience

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to work on several products concurrently while managing competing deadlines

  • Exceptional written and verbal skills

  • Willing to work on-site in Ft. Meade, MD

  • TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly

Preferred qualifications:

  • Accredited in Public Relations (APR)

  • Knowledge of DoD Cyberspace Operations

  • Technical understanding of the field of Artificial Intelligence
